Introducing WELL Research

Established clinical research expertise, strengthened by the WELL Health ecosystem.

Clinical research exists to improve health outcomes, but progress depends on finding and enrolling the right trial participants. For clinical trial sponsors, recruitment can be slow, costly and difficult to predict.

As the clinical research brand of WELL Health, WELL Research brings together the capabilities needed to assess feasibility, recruit trial participants and deliver studies, connecting clinical research more closely to the care patients already receive.

Integrated recruitment and study delivery

The WELL Research Platform

One platform for feasibility, recruitment and study delivery.

At WELL Research, we believe clinical trials can be a specialized form of care and, in the right setting, offer some patients access to an innovative therapy that may be the most valuable option available to them. Our platform brings together the capabilities needed to assess feasibility, recruit trial participants and deliver studies.

Recruitment

Through WELLTrust, we enable motivated patients to join a community of Canadians who have explicitly consented to hear about clinical trial opportunities. Existing WELL clinic and provider relationships give outreach a trusted starting point. Our teams coordinate outreach and screening, reducing reliance on individual providers to drive recruitment, so providers can remain focused on patient care.

Matching

Express consent provides the foundation for focused patient identification. Working with HEALWELL AI and its DARWEN™ platform, we are developing technology-enabled feasibility and protocol-to-patient matching to identify potential candidates. Formal screening determines eligibility.

Delivery

Our full-service CRO supports early-phase trials, our Site Management Organization (SMO) supports late-stage studies today, and our bioanalysis lab operates across trial phases, disease indications and therapeutic modalities. The SMO model is intended to extend delivery into selected WELL Clinics, while WELL’s diagnostics network can create specialty recruitment pathways.

Together, these capabilities support feasibility, participant recruitment and study delivery, connecting clinical trials more closely to the care patients already receive.
